Log each bill with a photo of the receipt. Split shared bills such as electricity across departments, tag repairs to the room they were for, and set rent and salaries to repeat every month.

Cash expenses come out of the open cash drawer, so the shift still balances. Search finds any expense by supplier, reference, category, room or amount, and the whole log exports to Excel for your accountant.

Frequently asked questions

What is USALI and do I need an accountant to read it?

USALI is the standard way hotels lay out their profit and loss: department profit first, then gross operating profit, then net profit. Innkeeper builds it for you from your revenue and expenses, and each line explains itself.

Can I record expenses paid with mobile money?

Yes. Record the payment method and the MoMo reference, attach the receipt, and search by reference later.

How is break-even occupancy calculated?

Innkeeper takes the period's costs, subtracts what other departments earned and the per-stay costs, then works out the occupancy and average rate your rooms needed to cover the rest.

Does it replace my accounting software?

It gives owners and managers the operating picture: expenses, profit by department and room, and cash flow. Your accountant can export the data for the books and tax returns.
